FAQ
Learn more about our business practices and our products by exploring our Frequently Asked Questions.
Where do you get your LEGO from?
All our LEGO is sourced second hand. Some is traded in after initial contact is made online. Some is sourced locally through marketplace, some is found as bulk deals on EBAY. No matter where is comes from it is all cleaned and sorted before being bundled into play packs. Creating a truly circular economy.
How do you clean your LEGO?
All our incoming LEGO undergoes an initial first sort to remove any paper or other items that won’t wash well, like light bricks. It is then all dumped into a tub of warm soapy water, with a soft cloth and brush used to remove any sticky dust and grime.
The pieces are then left to soak, before being scooped onto a drying rack and rinsed. The final step is to dry in the sunshine to naturally disinfect the pieces. All cleaning products used are natural and environmentally friendly.
How can I be confident it is all LEGO and not fake?
Each piece of LEGO is viewed by our expert team a total of 4 times. Once during pre-sort, prior to washing. Once during the wash and dry stage. Once during the main sorting stage. Where every single piece is individually picked up from our sorting table and placed into its respective bucket.
The parts are then viewed again as products are bundled and photographed. We also have a final stage of picking and packing. We can’t guarantee that one or two pieces of non-genuine LEGO might not slip through as we are human. However we do our very best to ensure this doesn’t happen.
What do you do with used LEGO that has teeth marks or is sun bleached?
We do not include any non-prime LEGO in our bundles. However, we do not throw this LEGO in the bin, as we are aiming for sustainability and endless play. We have a ‘Seconds Bulk’ bundle that we create, you may be able to find one in stock online. This product is all genuine LEGO and ideal for building underneath large structures or using old pieces to complete an old set that might also have some wear. Naturally these pieces are priced accordingly so you might get a bargain on some Old Grey.
How do you price your LEGO?
All our prices for both bricks and minifigures are based on Bricklink’s 6 month average price. We use a great AI app which allows us to easily identify parts and match them to their online listing. We then take into consideration part condition if it has marks or scratches, particularly on minifigures. We then look at how many can be found within Australia. We aim to be priced reasonably and to provide an easy shopping experience. Something that is a lot less tedious than Bricklink and more affordable and secure than eBay.
What is the postage charge?
Let’s keep it simple.
$10 postage charge for any order less than $75 within Australia
Free postage for any order over $75, within Australia
Free delivery for any order with a postcode of 2450 or 2456, as that is local delivery. A message will be sent to discuss delivery times.
All our parcels are sent with Australia Post. They are all in boxes and tracked. You will receive the tracking number once your parcel has been dispatched.
Do you use sustainable packaging?
We pride ourselves in our sustainability principles. Yes, all our packaging is compostable, including the stickers. We have spent a lot of time to find sustainable solutions for all our consumable packaging. We have found an appropriate paper bag that will be secure enough to send bundles of LEGO in the post.
All our minifigures are hand wrapped in tissue paper, like a little present, to ensure they are protected in the mail. All our packing fill and boxes are either reused from LEGO packages that have been traded in or are new and compostable.
You will receive no plastic ziplock bags in your order, we reuse ziplock bags in house for storage and we use a post it note to identify bundles. We do not treat plastic bags as disposable as we are trying our best to limit our imprint on the earth.
How long does it take for my order to be processed?
We aim to process your order within 2 business days. This may extend slightly based on the season. Our post days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So expect to see a notification of dispatch and tracking information on these days. Generally Australia Post then delivers within 4-10 business days.
I’ve placed two orders can you combine them for shipping?
Yes, we sure can. Send us an email with both order numbers and we will ensure they are combined and we will refund you, one of the shipping costs.
This happens a fair bit, being pre-loved our products are dependent on what bulk LEGO has been traded in which makes all our products unique and often we will only have 1 in stock. To ensure your desired product is obtained it’s recommended you checkout quickly before someone else purchases that exact same item.
Do you buy LEGO, I have some I don’t use anymore?
Yes, we sure do. We love buying LEGO that is ready for trade in. Please Contact Us with the details of the LEGO you are prepared to part with.
Note we do not buy sets. We prefer all pieces to be separated. We will quote a higher purchase price for clean, colour sorted and bulk that excludes non-genuine LEGO.
I can’t find what I need, can you help?
We can try. Each week we sort through thousands of pieces of LEGO, creating bundles that we believe will be great for different projects or play situations.
If you can’t find what your looking for amongst our hundreds of products please complete the Wanted LEGO enquiry form and the next time we are sorting we will do our best to create a bundle to suit your needs. We will also let you know if we are unable to match your vision based on the unsorted bulk we have on hand at the time of the request.
Are you hiring, I live in Coffs Harbour and I’d love to work with LEGO?
We are always on the look out for keen locals, who have a high attention to detail and the tenacity to complete a repetitive task through to the end. Another key requirement is finger strength and decent eyesight. If you are interested in working with us please Contact us. Our working hours are 9am to 3pm and we are based at Emerald Beach.
Do you have a subscription box, for play every month?
Not yet, but we are currently in the planning stages of designing a play subscription box which will have different themes and or colours each month across the year.
As we are using pre-loved LEGO and are dependent on the bulk pieces that are traded in, we are having to be a bit creative to design a product that can be sold to many, while still being individual.
Do you have a retail store?
No, we do not have a retail store or shop front. We believe this is too your advantage, particularly for those living in regional or remote areas. Every single piece of LEGO that is traded into us is loaded onto our website.
We do not have bulk bins where people can come and pick out all the best parts, leaving only unusual pieces for the website.
As we are only online we want you to be able to shop with confidence. So all our products have photos, so you know exactly what you are getting. All our mixed bags have a weight or piece count so you know how much you will receive. All our minifigures have a condition rating so you can understand their quality.
We do not scoop from a bin when you order a specific colour or type of piece, the photo displayed on the product are the exact pieces you will receive.
